Google logo-search to the extremes

All of us know what Google actually is. It is the most powerful search engine and has superseded even Yahoo in its popularity. Information on any topic, howsoever rare they may be, is generated in a matter of seconds. Millions of search results are produced and the user is given the option of selecting the website, containing the information desired, according to his choice.

Google logo is actually a modification of its name. As such no other symbol has been chosen. The name Google is written and its various alphabets are colored in contrasting colors. Google has had many logos. Sergey Brin in 1998 used a graphics program to generate the computerized form of the alphabets. He also included an exclamation mark, imitating Yahoo logo. The current logo however doesn’t have any such exclamation mark and was designed by Ruth Kedar. The Google logo can also be modified to add many humorous and funny features. Cartoon modifications can also be implemented. This is generally done during the time of festivities, holidays, mega events like Olympics or even birthdays of very famous people like Leonardo da Vinci, Einstein, Louise Braille and others. Hence, they are also called as Google Doodles.

The Google Doodle that was first put up was created by Sergey Brin and another person named Larry Page. It consisted of a symbol of burning man, appearing with the alphabet “O”. This was actually put up, to inform the various users in case the Google servers would crash.
