Apple Logo
The Apple logo is a trademark symbol of the Apple multinational corporation. Apple specializes in designing and producing electronic goods and software related to them, for the consumers. However the product lines, that have made them the world leaders, are the Apple personal computers, the iphone as well as the IPods.
The first logo symbol was created by Jobs and another person called Wayne. It showed Sir Isaac Newton, under the famous apple tree. This logo however, was immediately replaced with a “rainbow apple”. This was designed by Rob Janoff. The logo depicted an apple, from which a bite had already been taken, with all the colors of the rainbow etched across it.
This “rainbow apple” logo was considered to pay a tribute to the world famous scientist, Sir Isaac Newton, who discovered the laws of gravity while eating an apple, as well as to the splitting of light into its different components when passing through a prism. However, some people are also of the opinion, that this apple, with its one side bitten, is actually a tribute to the mathematics genius Alan Turing. Legend says that he embraced death purposefully, by biting into an apple, laced with poisonous cyanide. This famous legend is also known as the Father figure of computers.
From 1999 however, apple changed its logo to a strictly monochromatic one. The only difference with its previous logo was that no specific color was allotted. Aluminum iMac had a black one, while IPods have a blue one.
